Antic London Announces Its Newest Pub Opening on Friday 6th June
This month sees the launch of The Job Centre (www.jobcentredeptford.com), Deptford’s newest public house from Antic London.
Taking its name from the employment agency that occupied Deptford in the late seventies, The Job Centre is a saloon bar located in the heart of Deptford High Street.
Only a stone’s throw away from the newly developed Deptford train station, The Job Centre boasts a spacious bar, lounge and dining area on street level and creative events space and private hire room on the upper floor, allowing it to cater for all its community needs.
Heavily driven by locally and regionally sourced and brewed beverages, The Job Centre offers a superb selection of real ales, draught and bottle beers, fine wines and spirits. Boasting six ale pumps, you can expect to see a variety of mainline classics, as well as handpicked favourites from the likes of Darkstar Brewing and Thornbridge Brewery. Serving a rotational Spanish-influenced wine menu, European summer drinks, and specially infused spirits shortly after opening, The Job Centre’s ever-charging drinks menu will certainly keep you on your toes.
The Job Centre’s kitchen will launch soon after the initial pub opening, serving snacking plates and hearty main dishes with a contemporary twist on British pub food.
The venue’s interior is an intriguing mix of vintage décor and quirky design features inspired by the building’s original function. On Friday nights you can expect to see DJs playing an eclectic assortment of soul, funk and blues records in the bar area.
Its friendly charm and strong community focus makes The Job Centre the perfect destination for an after-work pit stop, or a weekend hang-out.
