Here at London Social 101 we’re keen to pull together a comprehensive guide of the best spas across London, we’re going to start with The Mandara Spa.

It brings a taste of Bali to Britain. From a menu of therapies incorporating ingredients native to the Indonesian Islands, to its soothing design with a contemporary Balinese décor, the spa offers an exotic escape in the heart of the city. In addition to Mandara Spa body treatments, such as its signature Balinese Massage, Asian Head Massage and Mandara Harmony Package, the spa also offers signature Elemis facials and detox therapies as well as manicures, pedicures and waxing courtesy of Bliss. Spacious treatment rooms include one double suite for couples’ treatments, three single treatment rooms complete with showers and an additional five generously-sized single treatment rooms.

New treatment

The spa’s newest treatment, developed exclusively for Mandara Spa, is the Island Paradise Revitalising Leg Treatment which detoxifies, sculpts and energises the legs by combining the potent benefits of grapefruit, lemon and white tea with an intensive lymphatic drainage treatment using traditional bamboo massage techniques to help stimulate circulation, reduce fluid retention and smooth the appearance of cellulite. Lasting 50 minutes and priced at £85, the treatment also includes a relaxing head and shoulder massage.

Mandara Spa is located at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, just five minutes’ walk from Waterloo station. Park Plaza Westminster Bridge boasts a conveniently central location on the iconic South Bank as well as impressive views of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
