As the Capital looks set to bask in glorious sunshine this weekend (yipppeeee – and it’s about time we say!), Londoners are being invited to squeeze into their swimming gear, bring out their bikinis and head to Victoria Park, East London – to enjoy the world’s biggest water sprinkler.
Refreshing drinks maker Juicy Water has specially built the giant sprinkler for the event, which will be running from 12-noon to 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Measuring in at over eight metres long, with jets of water reaching heights of up to seven metres, it’s expected to set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titleTM for the largest ever residential water sprinkler.
Visitors are encouraged to make the most of the hot weather and recall bygone days running through their garden sprinkler. They can also take part in a giant water pistol fight or simply lie back, catch some sun and strike a pose on one of the sun loungers. With a DJ playing in a garden shed, and giant inflatables, it’ll be the most fun way to cool down this summer – and feel like a big kid again.
Emilie Stephenson, of Juicy Water, said: “It’s going to be a scorcher this weekend, so what better way to cool down than with a giant water sprinkler – and help us set a world record at the same time.”
