Have you heard it’s World Waffle Day on 25th March and whether you like your waffles crisply baked and drizzled with sweet syrup or topped with savoury snacks, there are infinite ways to enjoy this delicious breakfast staple… here’s a few of London’s hottest places to celebrate World Waffle Day!
OSLO
With a name like OSLO you would expect one of Hackney’s favourite haunts to have an extensive waffle selection, and it certainly does. On the menu, the savoury delights include the Vege Cure (£9.00) featuring organic eggs, avocado, halloumi, grilled pepper, portobello mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and beans all on top of a homemade signature waffle. For those looking to indulge their sweet tooth, the Nutella Split (£7.00) ticks all of the boxes, which consists of homemade waffles topped with nutella, bananas, butterscotch sauce and candied walnuts. Vegan and gluten free options are also available.
The Sipping Room
Brighten up the weekend and escape from the everyday at The Sipping Room. Enjoy one of London’s favourite waffles; the Buttermilk Chicken & Waffle (£8.95) topped with avocado, sour cream, jalapenos & chilli maple syrup whilst enjoying their crafted cocktails this Sunday!
The Gallery
The Gallery is a brunch favourite in West Hampstead and its bottomless menu is entirely devoted to waffles of both the savoury potato and classic sweet variety. The extensive menu includes sumptuous sweet toppings such as raspberries, granola, honey and coconut yoghurt, and hearty savoury variations such as the chorizo, fried egg and padron peppers waffle (£10). The standout dish is The Gallery’s signature American-style fried chicken waffles drizzled with sticky maple syrup. Pair any of these with a classic bloody Mary or if you’re feeling extra indulgent, a Buck’s Fizz.
Amorino
Enjoy a Amorino waffle with a selection of delicious accompaniments to your desire, from ice cream to caramel they’ve got all the sweet treats you need this World Waffle Day!
