– Visit Irish Food Market

at the Mayor of London’s St Patrick’s Day celebrations –

St Patrick’s Day was traditionally known as the day of feasting, so use this as an excuse to head into the heart of London to sample some of Ireland’s finest produce at the Irish Food Market, which will be one of the highlights at the Mayor of London’s St Patrick’s Day celebrations.

The free event is taking place in Trafalgar Square on Sunday 16 March (12-6pm), and the Irish Food Market is the perfect way to sample the true flavour of Ireland and experience a warm welcome from the producers themselves. From farmhouse cheeses and traditional breads to smoked fish and luxury confectionery, The Irish Food Board (Bord Bia) brings the very best of Ireland to central London.

The St Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade are supported by the Mayor of London and Irish businesses who work with Irish cultural organisations, musicians and artists. Amongst the biggest St Patrick’s Day events outside Ireland, last year’s festivities attracted around 100,000 people from across the city and beyond. People attending this year, can expect another lively and colourful line-up, including a parade of floats, marching bands and Irish dancing schools, a live music tent, a comedy tent and Irish film screenings.

A great day out for foodies and families alike. Just remember your shamrock.
